So the start of 2016 has been a pretty busy one for me! First of all I visited CWC Wake Park in the Philippines, for a month of riding the cable. It was great to be able to get away and ride in the sun for a while as wakeboarding in January in the UK isn't very productive!
After the Philippines I came home for two weeks then headed out to Orlando, Florida to train for three weeks at Chain Of Wakes in Winter Haven, Florida. For the past 3 years I have been going out to COW in February to get some boat training in before the season starts. This year was definitely the best! Loads of new tricks were learnt and I had a great time riding with everyone each day.
About a month after I returned from Florida I had my first competition of the year at LDBwakeschool in Surrey. I was really pleased to stick my run and take 1st place in Open Women! All the training with Lee and Stew proved to have paid off!
In America I had set myself a goal of getting a particular competition run consistent for the Nautique UK Wake Open on the 21st and 22nd May. I had worked really hard to get this run down and was so pleased to land the whole run in the finals! It was a great feeling knowing I had added new tricks into my run that I had learnt in America and achieved the goals I had set! I was super happy with taking 2nd place in Open Women at this competition and it was great to see all the girls riding so well!
Here are some photos from the past couple of months.
